Basic Knife Skills

Hone your cutting skills—safely. We’ll practice different cuts and techniques on a variety of vegetables and then send you home with the makings of a fine soup and new outlook on kitchen preparations.Supply fee of $35 for knife, sharpening stone, cuttingboard and food payable to instructor at the first class. Prerequisites:
- 4-year degree + 36 months project leadership in the last 8 years, or
- High school diploma + 60 months project leadership experience in the last 8 years.
Students are required to have a Windows-compatible computer equipped with a camera, microphone, and internet access. Once registered, students will download Microsoft 365 at no cost through San Juan College.
