This Navajo language-based online training prepares students to provide translation for proper diagnosis, use terminology appropriate to medical processes, and explain common hospital legal documents and processes.

Students who complete the 12-month Medical Assistant Program are prepared for the American Medical Technologist Registered Medical Assistant certification exam. Eligibility criteria: High school graduate/GED Fingerprint/Background clearance check Up-to-date immunization record Consent to a drug screen Program Prerequisite: Students will need to pass reading and math assessments.
